A house facing the north has been considered a house of ill omen. This is understandable because it is easy to think that the cold and gloomy atmosphere of a north-facing house is the cause of woes happening in the house. However, there are people who have a healthy and happy life in a north-facing house. What is the reason for this?

The different atmosphere of the houses facing different directions comes from the air that fills each house. Suppose eight individuals with the eight different constitutions live together in the same house. The air that fills the house will affect each constitution differently. On the contrary, if they live in different houses facing different directions, they might get the same kind of effect from the air. The air from the north in north-facing houses may cause renotonia individuals who have strong kidneys and colonotonia individuals with a strong bladder to have an over-imbalance in their internal organs because of the strengthening of their already strong organs. Therefore, for these individuals a north-facing house can be considered a house of ill omen. On the contrary, to pulmotonia and gastrotonia individuals, this house may be a house of fortune because they are born with naturally weak kidney and bladder. In the same principle, an east-facing house may be bad for hepatonia and cholecystonia individuals, but good for colonotonia individuals. While a south-facing house is a house of ill omen to pancreotonia and gastrotonia individuals, it is a house of fortune to hepatonia, renotonia, and vesicotonia individuals. A west-facing house can have negative effects on pulmotonia and colonotonia individuals, but positive effects on pancreotonia and gastrotonia individuals.

Just as people should choose their diet discriminately according to their constitutions to become healthy, they should likewise select the direction that their house will face based on their constitution in order to live a peaceful life. This is akin to the way a grain grows. At first grain needs the east wind to grow and then the west wind to ripen. It is almost impossible to understand the mystery of the relationship between human beings and lifeless things unless you understand the eight constitution theory. As a result, people only have limited comprehension of why a north-facing house is inauspicious and that the houses facing the other directions are auspicious. Without the proper knowledge of the body constitution medicine, you may end up becoming like some superstitious persons who believe that the reason people do well in the north-facing house is because their spirits are strong enough to overcome the evil spirits in the house or that the reason they do well is because they get along with the evil spirits in the house.

The eight constitutional theory can serve as a lamp through which one can perceive the Creator who created the human beings in such a mysterious way as well as a guide to lead us to the right way by solving human mysteries and sparing confusion.
