How do children contract infant obstinate diseases such as cerebral palsy, asthma, aplastic anemia, leukemia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia? Among these diseases, some occur immediately after birth while others occur much later after the birth. There may be various reasons that cause these diseases, but according to the constitutional medicine, they attack the children whose parents have the same constitution.
The Cause of Infant Obstinate Disease Seen from the Constitutional Point of View
Each constitution has its own set of physical traits. For example, pulmotonia individuals naturally have the weak liver and kidneys but strong lungs and pancreas. A child born of two pulmotonia individuals can only be of the pulmotonia consititution, and the child will tend to have a more extreme imbalance between his internal organs in their function. This over imbalance among internal organs in a child may be the cause of infant obstinate diseases. Particularly, in the case where both parents have the pulmotonia constitution, diseases that may attack the children include myeloid leukemia, leukopenia, or aplastic anemia. When both parents are colonotonia individuas, their children may have muscular asthenia in his legs. When parents are both hepatonia individuals, their children may be spastic or crippled. And when they are both vesicotonia individuals, their children may be congenitally hydrocephalic or may contract lymphoid leukemia.
Although those in medicine have studied infant obstinate diseases; in actuality, patients can only be helped by allopathic treatment which still does not cure the intrinsic disease. In order to cure a disease, it is necessary to eradicate the very cause of it, but in the case of infant obstinate diseases, it is impossible to do so because the cause of the diseases is derived from the child's strong manifestation of his constitutional trait which was inherited from the parents' having the same constitution.
From the Acquired Over-imbalance Among Organs to the Appropriate Hereditary Imbalance
Infant obstinate diseases are not caused by a child's behavior, infection, or damage caused by anything; the diseases are due to the over-imbalance of his organs that he received from his parents.
Constitution is formed by the organic imbalance of human beings, and the natural imbalance among our organs makes us different from others in our personality, thinking, and personal aptitude, but this is considered an appropriate hereditary imbalance that is not related to diseases. As long as we maintain the appropriate hereditary imbalance by taking care of our health and by being careful about behavior, we can be kept healthy throughout our lifetime.
However, when a person's regimen does not fit his constitution, the appropriate hereditary imbalance changes to an acquired over-imbalance, and it is this that causes diseases. All other typical diseases are caused by the patients, but infant obstinate diseases come from the over-imbalance of the organs the child inherited from the parents.
Therefore, we need a different view in order to cure these infant diseases. For example, in the case of aplastic anemia, it is impossible to eradicate the cause of the disease even though the patient undergoes numerous blood transfusions, yet once the patients stops receiving blood transfusions, their life will end. However, if the constitutionally-acquired over-imbalance is restored to the appropriate hereditary imbalance, the body will start making blood again, and this dreadful disease will be changed from aplastic to plastic.
‘The Invisible Function’ of the Organs
Organs of human beings have observable and knowable functions, which have been thoroughly studied. But this cannot solve all the problems of life. Our organs are possess invisible and mysterious functions, which operate life in human beings. When these functions are halted, all the visible and knowable functions will also stop, and life will come to an end.
Ginseng has been called a royal elixir for thousands of years. However, nothing has been found in it other than saponin, and its true efficacy cannot be explained. But it is because ginseng, which is also an organism, has an invisible function that is truly effective, and this is the reason it is an elixir.
Treating Children in Infant Obstinate Cases and Raising Them According to Eight Constitutional Medicine
Eight constitutional medicine can cure infant obstinate diseases through the study and adjusting of the invisible functions of human organs. At the same time, it also prescribes the constitutional diet, which is composed only of the food that helps weak organs and excludes the food that helps strong organs. Although it may seem like an unbalanced diet, it can be a great aid to convert the acquired over-imbalance among organs into the appropriate hereditary imbalance.
What should we be concerned with in the matter of raising the children who have incurable diseases? Not every child born of parents who are of the same constitution suffers from an incurable disease, but there must be more care in raising these children. For example, a prodigy may be born between two pulmotonia individuals and she, while growing up, may have a tendency to dislike meat and to dislike sleeping in the cold areas without blankets. Her parents may want to make her eat meat and make her sleep in a warm place with blankets. But if they do it, she will not only be unhealthy but also contract atopic dermatitis, and her intellectual level will deteriorate to even below children of average intelligence.
It is a natural fact that this child, who has a very strong trait of the pulmotonia constitution, does not like meat and also that she does not like being warm because of her high external fever. When this kind of natural desire is oppressed, it causes diseases. The children born between a couple of the same constitution either are healthy or have obstinate diseases. They must be separated from their parents when sleeping and eating, and their parents should not feed them with their own spoon. Also, the parents should not hug or kiss them. When the parents' saliva touches their child or their body odor and dandruff gets into the child's nostrils, it may worsen his organic imbalance, leading him to respiratory diseases or infant obstinate diseases.
